Dr. Patricia Morante received her Doctor of Philosophy in Education degree from the University of Havana in 2007, where she had been on the foreign language faculty since 1981, teaching Spanish, Italian, and Russian. She was the star of a popular nationwide language learning program on television in Cuba, teaching Italian with highly entertaining methods.
In 2006, she received the Rafael Maria de Mendive Medal for excellence in teaching from the University of Havana. In 2010, she received the highest level of proficiency in Italian from the Dante Alighieri Society in Rome.
Since arriving in the United States, she has been working on the faculty of several language schools, and teaches Spanish, Italian, and Russian to groups and individuals, including executives, college students, diplomats, and military officers.
Dr. Patricia teaches in classrooms, onsite at homes and businesses, and online via Skype.

out.mp4I now live in Miami, Florida, but for many years I was a professor at the University of Havana in Cuba. This photo was taken some time ago in a restaurant in Cuba where customers are allowed to write on the wall. The message that I added to the wall was my way of making a small tribute to all my students. Loosely translated, it says: “I was born to teach and remain a teacher wherever I am: A big hug to all my past, present and future students—they are with me forever.”
